Good day chaps!
It has been all go around here recently I can tell you! I have just come from the Quantum Transportation lab, it was an absolutely marvellous send off, there were some extremely tasty salmon and sardine nibbly things and Lena made a first rate speech.
Oh dear me yes.. of course, you don’t know whats happening do you?
It was the final day of the Scottish Otters’ visit to the Holt today, and what an absolutely splendid day it was! We breakfasted like kings and spent the day touring the updated Quantum Transportation and Quantum Research labs.
The Quantum Transportation set up is quite impressive, tubes and whirly things everywhere and the giant pipes around the room look particularly fine. Some of them go out through holes in the bank and back in to a different room. I am told this is to do with critical otter acceleration or somesuch thing. There has been a lot of testing the system going on recently too, there have been otters popping up all over the place. All part of a thorough acceptance test plan I am told, looks like a lot of tomfoolery to me, but I am sure they know what they are about.
A good deal of the lab is still under construction and I am lead to believe that the wooden levers will soon be replaced with brass and copper. Can’t go wrong with a shiny brass or copper lever I say, sign of a first rate construction your brass lever. I also particularly like those big switches that go kerchunk!
I was having a good chat with Penny Paddlepaws while I was down there and she is convinced that a switch that goes kerchunk is not necessary. I don’t know, what are young otters coming to these days? We need a good kerchunky lever about the place! I don’t believe I have introduced you to Penny Paddlepaws, she is something of the shining star in the Quantum lab and has been working with Duncan McBristlewhiskers these past weeks! Only one who can understand a word that fellow is saying too, they are a blooming good team!
Talking of Duncan McBristlewhiskers, I am extremely pleased to announce he has agreed to stay on at the Holt on secondment. I can’t wait to see what him and Penny get up to, and he might be more amenable to levers that go kerchunk!
Right then, I’d better get back to this report reading, things are really piling up around here I can tell you! I could go for a snack first mind you, I think I’ll just pop along to the lab and see if there are any leftovers, the perch crumble was tip top!
